God's Holy Fire: 'Endless Supply of Love'

Sunday, October 25, 2026

And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Key Thought

When our son was small, and we were new parents, we couldn't imagine loving anyone else like we loved him. In our limited experience, it was intimidating to think about having another child because we wondered if we could love another one the same way. The amazing thing about love, however, is that the more you love, the more you have the capability to be loving - at least that is true in Jesus. We experienced that greater capacity for love when our daughter was born. Then crammed into a short few months several years ago, our lives were forever impacted by foster grandchildren, a young international student from Madagascar, several university students from China, a young businessman from Thailand, and some very special little girls from an orphanage in Peru. I don't believe there is a human explanation for how one can love so deeply and so quickly, but when Jesus' Spirit fills your heart, there is a supernatural capacity to love that is beyond your own ability and that defies your own expectations. I rejoice in that capacity and challenge you to tap into this promise of God's love being poured into our hearts. Claim this promise in the lives of others and join us as we fervently pray that each of these beloved people will become part of our forever family, tied together by the Holy Spirit!

Today's Prayer

O Father, thank you for adopting me into your family and giving me the Holy Spirit so that my capacity to love is more like yours than like my own natural inclination or ability. Please, please, dear Father, help each of these people who are precious to me find their way into your forever family. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
