God's Holy Fire: 'True Worshipers'

Monday, October 13, 2025

[Jesus said,] "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks."

Key Thought

Genuine worship involves the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised this kind of worship to the woman at the well in John 4. He poured out his Spirit at Pentecost, and the church was born. The early disciples were filled with the Spirit as they prayed and sang. We are encouraged to pray in the Spirit and to be filled with the Spirit as we worship. The time is here! True worshipers are not bound by place and time, but are connected to each other and to God in worship by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit!

Today's Prayer

O great God and Father of us all, make your presence known in your people in powerful ways as we seek to honor you and bless each other as we joyfully assemble to worship you and are filled with the Holy Spirit! In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
