God's Holy Fire: 'Insulting the Spirit'

Tuesday, July 28, 2026

How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

Key Thought

If we reject Jesus, we reject everything that God is and everything he has given. We insult Father, Son, and Spirit. We reject grace at every level. The message of Jesus is precious and must never be spurned, rejected, discounted, treated lightly, or ignored. The message of Jesus is precious, and to reject this message is to insult all that is holy.

Today's Prayer

O Father, Jesus is precious to me. May my life always demonstrate my love and loyalty to him and to you. Forgive me for ever insulting you, Jesus, or the Spirit. In Jesus' name. Amen.
