ToGather: Set Free by the Spirit (for August 9, 2020)

This week, we focus upon the power of the Holy Spirit to not only nurture us in the ways of God, but also to also indwell and bring God's nature into us, as well!

Demetrius has four songs that emphasize our theme and help us celebrate being children of our God and being delivered from our fleshly nature. Randy Yarbrough invites us to the Lord's Table to meet Jesus and be blessed as we share in the Lord's Supper! Phil shares a message on being controlled by the Spirit and how this is a blessing and not a burden.

We are happy to offer this invitation to all who worship on Sunday in the Eastern Hemisphere and all who keep Sabbath and then celebrate Sunday beginning at 6:00 p.m. on common Saturday evening. May our Father forgive us, cleanse us, and use us as his holy utensils of honor:

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you (Romans 8:9-11).
