Unstoppable! 'Determined to Live Out His Call' — Acts 9:28

Tuesday, May 19, 2026

So Saul stayed with the apostles and went all around Jerusalem with them, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord.

Key Thought

Saul (later known as Paul) didn't waste time even though his focus and what he believed about Jesus had changed 180 degrees! In Damascus, Saul began preaching about Jesus immediately after he was baptized into Jesus (Acts 9:19-20). When Saul then went to Jerusalem, he joined the apostles once Barnabas helped him gain acceptance from them. Again, he began preaching immediately. He wasn't reserved or afraid, but boldly proclaimed Jesus as Lord and Messiah. While many of Jesus' apostles were men others would have never chosen as their future leaders, Jesus chose men whose faith in him made them passionate about sharing their faith. May we be passionate in our faith and willing to share Jesus boldly, too!

Today's Prayer

O Lord, give us courage and boldness because of our faith in Jesus. We want the world to know of your saving grace. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
