God's Holy Fire: 'Joy through the Holy Spirit'

Saturday, November 21, 2026

At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do."

Key Thought

Since the presence of the Holy Spirit led Jesus to be full of joy, then the Spirit can and will bring this blessing into our lives as well. Just like the joy of little children receiving gifts, we should be overflowing with joy because of the gift of grace given to us (Mark 10:13-16). So let's learn to seek the Spirit's presence and respond with our sincerest and heartfelt praise.

Today's Prayer

I do praise you, Father, for you are God. I know that through good times and bad, my praise comes to you by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in me and intercedes for me. Thank you for saving me, sharing your grace with me, and bringing me joy through the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
