Examine yourselves to see if your faith is really genuine (2 Corinthians 13:5 NLT).

Looking through the magazines and catalogs that come in the mail, I’m always amazed by the efforts to reassure the customer that merchandise is the real stuff. Even when telling us that something isn’t real, advertisers use words that sound good, like "leather-like vinyl," in an effort to make the fake stuff sound better.

I guess this says something about the desire we all have.
I guess this says something about the desire we all have to have something of value — something that won't wear out, something that won't chip or tarnish or break. That's not just a consumer preference, it's a real soul need. We need something and somebody who has ultimate value. A real faith. A real savior.

Like Jesus!
