The Good Book is just loaded with blessings that God gives to us; one of them stuck out in my mind the other day. It said, "When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you ..." He's talking about Jesus — he was raised from the dead and sent to bless his Jewish brothers and sisters after his death just as he is coming to give us abundant life.

But the verse continues by saying, "... he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways." (Acts 3:26 NRS) In other words, it is impossible to be blessed as long as we walk in the wrong direction — a direction that goes against the grain of God's character and purpose.

The Father's mercy leads us to a better way, but sadly some of us aren't ready to turn from our wicked ways to the way of God's blessing.

The Father's mercy leads us to a better way!
How are you following His leading today?

Have you turned to His blessed way?
