Today's Prayer

Lord, many who call themselves followers of Jesus don’t pay any attention to Your words in the Holy Scriptures, or even think of them as worthy of obedience. They invent new ways to interpret them and reduce them to meaningless myths or fables rather than Your holy truth. Don’t let me become like them, Lord. Help me to trust Your holy truth, and revere it and study it as if my life depended on it—because, in truth, my life surely does. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
