Spiritual Warfare: 'Don't Worry about Their Threats'

God's Power for Our Battles — Tuesday, October 17, 2023

Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
— 1 Peter 3:13-15 NLT

Today's Prayer

Lord, I’m trying to do good; I’m trying to make ethical decisions every day and be a person of integrity. And sometimes that puts me at odds with the people around me in the world today. They oppose me and threaten me, causing me to worry or be afraid. Forgive me. Help me to remember that if I please YOU, Lord, I’m ALWAYS safe from harm. Even if they KILL me, I get to go to heaven and be with You! Give me boldness and confidence in Your provision and Your promises. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
