Spiritual Warfare: 'Anger Can Control You if You Let It'
God's Power for Our Battles — Tuesday, March 24, 2026
A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.
And don’t sin by letting anger control you. Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry.
Lord, forgive me for letting my anger control me in the past. I have acted rashly and spoken harshly to my spouse, my children, and even to my friends. Help them to forgive me. Let my words be gentle and wise in the future, Lord, and keep me from having a condescending attitude in my speech and words. Let goodness and patience flow from my spirit in the future-even when I disagree with the other person. Remind me that harsh words cause anger and malice, and loud words induce pain and ill will. Keep me from ruining my friendships with harshness in my speech. In Jesus’ name, amen.
"Jesus replied [to the woman at Jacob's well], "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would....."
"If none of God's saints were poor and tried, we should not know half so well the consolations of divine grace. When we find the wanderer who has not....."
"As soon as they were freed, Peter and John returned to the other believers and told them what the leading priests and elders had said. When they heard..."
"Have not I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
