We're glad you joined us for ToGather.church! (Find out more about ToGather.) This is a do-it-yourself worship guide that includes YouTube worship songs, a Communion reflection, and a message from VerseoftheDay.com writer, Phil Ware. These pieces are connected by Scriptures, prayers, and words of encouragement. We pray you are blessed!

Opening with Praise in Word and Song:

Let's begin ToGather with "Great Things" with Phil Wickham, a song that praises our Father in heaven:

Our opening prayer is adapted from Psalm 5:1-3:

Listen to our words, LORD,
consider our hearts' lament.
Hear our cries for your help for our broken world,
for you are our King and our God,
and to you we pray.

LORD, you hear our voices,
so we lay our requests before you
and we wait expectantly for your promises to be fulfilled.

In Jesus' name, we pray to you, our God. Amen.

God has done great things, but our world is still broken and awaits the return of our King and Savior, Jesus. All who love Jesus eagerly wait for the day promised for us in the book of Revelation:

The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:

"The kingdom of the world has become
the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah,
and he will reign for ever and ever."
(Revelation 11:15)

Our world is broken. People are flawed. Satan opposes the work of God's Kingdom on the earth. So, what are we to do?

We look to the LORD our God for help, strength, and encouragement. We trust that the LORD will fulfill HIS great promises for our future as we sing "God I Look to You" with Bethel Music and Francesca Battistelli:

Focusing on the Scriptures:

Our message is rooted in the promise of God's coming glory for us and his healing of our broken world when Jesus returns. Our Verse of the Day comes from Romans 8:19, which is part of the apostle Paul's proclamation of our future glory as we are revealed and fully adopted as God's children:

For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

Phil's message focuses on this verse and what it means for us to join all creation in eager expectation of Jesus' return:

We trust in Jesus' promise to return in victory for us and bring God's new heaven and new earth. Our response is our promise to the LORD that we will be "Your Kingdom Until Then" as we sing with The Zoe Group:

Sharing The Supper:

The God of creation is also the God of salvation. As we prepare to share in the Lord's Supper, we remind ourselves that "Salvation Belongs to Our God" as we sing with the Zoe Group:

Jesus is coming to reveal us as God's beloved children and heal our broken world!
Doug Peters reminds us that even though separated by geography, we are together in the Spirit. We anticipate Jesus' return and our victory that lies ahead for us:

Closing with Praise:

No one and nothing can compare to the greatness of our God. The LORD is the author of creation, the provider of salvation, and our assurance of the age to come. Let's sing "Your Great Name" with Natalie Grant to praise our great God:

We close ToGather worship joining the saved in heaven to praise Jesus for our salvation:

"Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb."

"Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!"

(Revelation 7:10, 12)

Until the day we share this praise with the Father and the Lamb in glory, may the grace, hope, and power of the Holy Spirit be yours in abundance!
