We're glad you joined us for ToGather.church! We are praying that our time in song, prayer, Communion, praise, and Scripture will bless you. No matter where you are, please know that God's people from all around the world are joining you in this time of special worship. (Find out more.)

Opening with Praise in Word and Song:

We begin with "New Doxology," led by the Zoe Group:

Let's join together in this prayer of praise, adapted from Ephesians 1:3:

Praise be to you, O God, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. You have blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. We thank you for your grace and praise you for your unfailing love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

In ToGather today, our emphasis is on "Jesus Coming Alive in Us" as we surrender our lives to him as our Christ and Lord. We can be Jesus to our world today because we, like our Savior, are children of God. Let's sing, "No Longer Slaves" to fear, with Bethel Music and Jonathan David & Melissa Helser:

Focusing on the Scriptures:

To prepare our hearts to be open to the Scriptures, let's sing "Redeemed" with Bid Daddy Weave. As we sing, we remind ourselves of all that Jesus has done for us and ask him to work through us:

Our verse of the day is from Galatians 2:20:

I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

The focus is on the underlined phrase, "I no longer live, but Christ lives in me," as Phil challenges us to be Jesus to the people around us:

(Chasing Jesus Bible reading plan Phil mentioned in his video.)

Sharing The Supper:

To prepare our hearts to the Lord's Supper, let's sing "Jesus Paid It All," with Fernando Ortega:

We invite you to the Table of the Lord through the words of Rubel Shelly:

Jesus shared "table fellowship" with people throughout his earthly career. He ate with tax collectors and sinners, prostitutes and lepers, humble believers and honest seekers, anyone who was willing to join him at a table. Today, he is inviting you, the person beside you, the person on the other side of the globe who is sharing with you virtually, the long-time Christian, the babe in Christ, the seeker with questions, and me. He calls to us, "Eat and drink with me."

In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, I have the honor of inviting you to share table fellowship with him, and with each other. It is "Communion" — for we eat and drink together. In doing so, Paul said, we should be "discerning the body of Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:29) as we look into the faces of our brothers and sisters who are physically present or visualize them across the world as they share in this holy meal with us virtually. It is the "Lord's Supper" — it is his table meal with all who would join him there.

At ToGather.church, we share this table fellowship with Jesus every Lord's Day. But it is not "ours"; it is "his" — it is the Lord's Supper we share. He invites you to eat with him. Whatever your church membership, if you love Jesus and long to honor him, please eat and drink with us — as we eat and drink with the Savior.

Prayer for the Bread

Holy Lord Jesus, thank you for setting this table for us with bread and wine to serve as "memory prompts" of your very flesh-and-blood life, sacrificial death, and glorious resurrection. Bless us now as we eat this bread and discern with one another the body of Christ. Amen.

Prayer for the Cup

Blessed Redeemer, we come to the table with feelings of sadness and guilt that our sin cost YOU so much, yet with a sense of great joy and thanksgiving that you have invited us into your kingdom reign, into newness of life, and into fellowship with you that will extend through all eternity. Be present with us now as we receive the cup of this Holy Communion. Amen.

I no longer live, but Christ lives in me!
In song, we declare the truth, "I Am Mine No More," as we pledge to let Jesus live through us:

Closing with Praise:

1 Peter 1:3 is the basis for the first part of our prayer for power to live the truth of today's message:

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead...
As the Holy Spirit conforms us to be more like Jesus, may we, dear Father, share this mercy with all those you have placed around us. In the powerful name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We close with a rousing song with an old spiritual feel, "Old Church Basement" as we sing "Hallejuah with a new melody" along with Elevation Worship and Maverick City:

God bless us all as we seek to let the grace of Jesus shine through us and touch those around us.
