This week's ToGather.church, for Sunday, September 6, 2020, is ready for you to enjoy. Use this week's home worship guide for yourself, family, small group, or house church gathering. (Find out more about ToGather.church.)
This week, we focus upon God's greatness, power, and overwhelming creative genius, yet he still loves each of us fiercely and personally:
You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you (Ephesians 2:8-10).
Demetrius has several songs that emphasize God's power and greatness that lead us to praise God from whom every good blessing flows. Phil's communion reflection invites us to do more than remember Jesus' death: let's also remember his victory in the resurrection that gives us hope and expectation about being reunited with Jesus and all those who belong to him. Phil's message uses a line from the movie "Joe Versus The Volcano" to remind us just how big God truly is.
We invite all who worship on Sunday in the Eastern Hemisphere and all who keep Sabbath and celebrate Sunday beginning at 6:00 p.m. on ordinary Saturday evening to join us. We have a glorious future together as children of God, our loving Abba Father!
As he was saying these things, many believed in him. Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:30-32).
