Spiritual Warfare: 'God Watches Over and Rescues His People'

God's Power for Our Battles — Wednesday, September 30, 2026

But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine. We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.

Today's Prayer

Lord, I love You, and I also fear You. Your great power is amazing and overwhelming, and although I am growing more each day as I learn to grow my love and shrink my fear, I will always be in awe of Your greatness. I confess that part of why I first became a Christian is because I didn’t want You to send me to hell, Lord, and I know You could. Thank You for rescuing me from Satan’s darkness and bringing me into the glorious realm of Your Son. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
