Spiritual Warfare: 'Sent to the End they Fear'

God's Power for Our Battles — Sunday, August 30, 2026

Jesus demanded, "What is your name?" "Legion," he replied, for he was filled with many demons. The demons kept begging Jesus not to send them into the bottomless pit. There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside nearby, and the demons begged him to let them enter into the pigs. So Jesus gave them permission.

Today's Prayer

Lord, Your Name is above all other names, and the demons even have to obey commands given in Your Holy Name. Help me to remember this important fact when I face demon-harassed people who are lost and hopeless. Remind me that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Your Name one day. Deliver us from the schemes of Satan and all the demons who aid in those evil plans. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
