Spiritual Warfare: 'Brought Near by the Blood of Christ'

God's Power for Our Battles — Monday, August 25, 2025

In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.

Today's Prayer

Lord, all my life I have lived in hope. I hope for a better world; I hope for peace; I hope for eternity in heaven with You. Thank You for making my hope into an assured future reality through the saving blood of Your Son Jesus Christ. Now help me share that hope with others around me who have lived without it. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
