Spiritual Warfare: 'God Took Pleasure in Adopting Us'

God's Power for Our Battles — Sunday, July 6, 2025

God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

Today's Prayer

Lord, I know Satan wants me to think that God doesn’t love me and that he could never forgive me for what I’ve done in the past. Thank You for reminding me that this is not true. Thank You for loving me and inviting me into Your family in spite of all my faults and flaws. Thank You for accepting me just as I am, and for even taking pleasure in accepting me. Please continue to remind me of this when the world tries to tell me again and again how worthless and useless I am. Thank You for giving me purpose and hope for a wonderful future because of Your acceptance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
