Spiritual Warfare: 'Prayerful Watchfulness Overcomes Temptation'

God's Power for Our Battles — Friday, June 26, 2026

Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.

Today's Prayer

Lord, I confess that I have given in to the things that tempt me over and over and over again. I want to do right, but I keep finding myself doing wrong and needing Your forgiveness. Help me to pray and watch ahead of time instead of just strolling through life and being caught in Satan’s traps again and again. Warn me when danger is near. Perk up my senses before I go too far. Deliver me from my weaknesses, Lord, and help me to overcome by keeping watch and praying for Your protection before I need it instead of having to pray for forgiveness after I have gone astray. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
