Spiritual Warfare: 'Living in Sin Means I’m Obeying Satan'

God's Power for Our Battles — Wednesday, January 21, 2026

You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil — the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.

Today's Prayer

Lord, I know that many demonic powers and authorities are in the unseen realm and that Satan is their commander. I know he and his forces are at work in the hearts of men, urging disobedience and rebellion from Your authority. I know that he is powerful and that his path is evil, leading to eternal destruction. Help me to realize that following Satan means I’m living in a state of sinfulness, Lord, and please help me to follow Jesus every day instead. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
