Multiplication of Ministry: Recap

This week we've looked back at thirty years of God's faithfulness through this ministry.

Tuesday, we celebrated 30 years of ministry for both Heartlight and Phil Ware while assuring readers that Heartlight.org will continue as a lasting resource.

Wednesday, we shared that Verse of the Day will continue its daily ministry of Scripture and encouragement, and will be the home of future development and new resources.

Yesterday, we introduced JESUShaped, a discipleship and church planting movement that has sprung up through this ministry's international translation work.

Today, we want to bring the week together and reiterate how these three ministries will flow forward, each in its own way.

The Multiplication of Ministry

What began thirty years ago as a single ministry is being multiplied into three distinct expressions of the same mission:

"The Well" — Heartlight.org will continue as a permanent, freely available archive of thirty years of devotionals, articles, and artwork where readers can be nurtured for years to come.

"The Stream" — Verse of the Day will continue as the daily home for Scripture and encouragement that millions of readers already rely on, and the place where new development and future offerings will take shape.

"The Spring" — JESUShaped Ministries will carry forward the discipleship and church planting work that grew out of this ministry's international reach as the continuing mission of the Heartlight, Inc. nonprofit under a new name.

At the end of the year, Heartlight, Inc. will transition to the name JESUShaped Ministries, Inc., shifting its future focus to supporting discipleship and church planting work. At that time Heartlight.org and Verse of the Day will continue through Infinite Publishing, LLC and will operate separately from JESUShaped Ministries, Inc.

Each will flow forward as its own distinct ministry at the end of this year — faithfully continuing what was started, each with its own focus and future in the form best suited for the years ahead. We look forward to seeing how God will continue to use each of these ministries to further His kingdom.

Because of your faithfulness, millions of people across the world have been able to freely access God's Word and find encouragement for their daily walk with Jesus. We are deeply humbled by what God has accomplished through your partnership, and we thank Him for each of you.
