Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Our message is not about ourselves or to exalt ourselves. Jesus is Lord. One day, all of creation will acknowledge and praise him. For the people around us to praise Jesus today, they must see him alive in us. This means serving others in Jesus' name with Jesus' righteous character, gracious compassion, and faithful lovingkindness. We, his people and his church, are his bodily presence today. We must be his hands of compassion, his heart of mercy, and his voice of tenderness as we live in holiness and honor. So, let's exalt Jesus - not just by telling others about him but also serving others as his presence in their world.

My Prayer...

God of grace, thank you for the privilege of sharing your love with others by living for Jesus and as Jesus' presence in our world. Thank you for saving us FROM our sins and the consequences of living without your guidance in our lives. We know you also saved us FOR service that blesses others as Jesus. We pray we can do this with gentleness and respect in the name of Jesus, our Savior, example, and Lord. Amen.
