What Jesus Did! 'Ministry to the Whole Person' — Matthew 4:23

Monday, February 3, 2025

Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.

Key Thought

Preaching, teaching, and healing. Three key elements of authentic ministry are:
  1. Proclaiming the Good News of God's Kingdom.
  2. Teaching people how to live obediently to the will of God.
  3. Ministering to people's brokenness with the grace and power of God.
With all the modern technologies we have today, we must always remember that ministry still involves these same three elements if it is to be authentic.

Today's Prayer

Almighty and compassionate Father, give me eyes to see and ears to hear those who need your grace - not just today, but every day. Help me to be wise in the way that I present your Good News and that I offer your care so that I may minister to their needs by your power and according to your will. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen.
