What Jesus Did! 'You Can't Out-Give God' — Luke 18:28-30

Sunday, October 29, 2023

Peter said, "We've left our homes to follow you."

"Yes," Jesus replied, "and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come."

Key Thought

No matter what we may give up for the sake of the Kingdom and to honor the Lord, it will be nothing compared to what God has already given up in Jesus' sacrifice for us and what God has promised us. Bottom line: We can't out-give God! When our motives are to honor him, to bless his people, and to empower the work of the Kingdom, then we can be assured that God will not forget!

Today's Prayer

Father, thank you so much for your generous grace. I also want to thank you in advance for your generous reward and abundant blessings that lie ahead. I ask, dear Lord, that you help me not let my passion and desire to honor and to bless you be diluted by life's challenges. In Jesus' name. Amen.
