God's Power for Our Battles — Wednesday, December 9, 2026
The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the Lord and against his anointed one. "Let us break their chains," they cry, "and free ourselves from slavery to God." But the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.
Lord, You are Creator, Lord, and King of all, and none can compare with Your power. You made the land, sea, stars, and sky, and no one tells You what to do. You rule and reign, and Jesus Christ is Your eternal appointed judge. Though the whole world tries to rebel and rule themselves, Lord, You decide who is in charge. You laugh and scoff at any who oppose You, Lord, and I pledge allegiance to Your Holy name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
