Yes, each of you should remain as you were when God called you. Are you a slave? Don’t let that worry you — but if you get a chance to be free, take it. And remember, if you were a slave when the Lord called you, you are now free in the Lord. And if you were free when the Lord called you, you are now a slave of Christ.

Today's Prayer

Lord, I know slavery is no longer practiced in my land, but I have still let myself become enslaved to fears and worries and concerns about money, job, and the future. Forgive me. Help me to remember that now that I’m a Christian, Lord, I’m FREE in Christ! Grant me wisdom and discernment so I can feel the freedom that I really do have. Open my eyes to all the ways I’ve let myself become enslaved, and give me wisdom and boldness to help others find this same freedom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
