Spiritual Warfare: 'Don't Share the Altar with Demons'

God's Power for Our Battles — Wednesday, September 2, 2026

Think about the Israelites: Do not those who eat the sacrifices share in the altar? I do not mean that the food sacrificed to an idol is important. I do not mean that an idol is anything at all. But I say that what is sacrificed to idols is offered to demons, not to God. And I do not want you to share anything with demons.

Today's Prayer

Lord, I don’t want to have any part with Your enemies, the demonic world of Satan’s loyal followers. Deliver me from all sin and deception that would lead me to participate with them-even unknowingly. Open my eyes to the truth of how Satan is at work with evil schemes all around me, and help me to help others to see this truth, too. Remind me that anything can become an idol if it replaces my need for You in any way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
