Spiritual Warfare: 'Christians Have God’s Spirit, Not the World’s'

God's Power for Our Battles — Sunday, July 12, 2026

Who knows the thoughts that another person has? Only a person’s spirit that lives within him knows his thoughts. It is the same with God. No one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we did not receive the spirit of the world, but we received the Spirit that is from God so that we can know all that God has given us.

Today's Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your Holy Spirit. Please fill me with Your Spirit. May Your Spirit guide me in my daily life and lead me back to You when I waver from the course of truth. Let Your Spirit alert me when I start to wander from You and gently nudge me back to the straight and narrow pathway that leads to eternal life. Help me to be sensitive to the leading of Your Spirit and be willing to change course, rejecting the distractions of this world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
