Spiritual Warfare: 'Christians Are Set Free from Sin’s Power'

God's Power for Our Battles — Thursday, June 11, 2026

We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.

Today's Prayer

Thank You for the new life of freedom that comes from being set free through Jesus Christ. Take away sin’s power, Lord, and let me walk free from that kind of slavery that used to overwhelm me. Remind me that my commitment to You includes freedom from that power through my obedience to Jesus. The old me is dead, and the new me wants to be faithful and obedient, so now that I’ve changed kingdoms, deliver me from Satan’s grasp on my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
