I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. Come quickly, Lord, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don't turn away from me, or I will die.
Lord, sometimes the depression I feel about my current situation seems to be more than I can bear. Without You, Lord, I would die from heartbreak. But You are the healer; the Great Physician; the One who created me. And You can heal me when any part of me isn't functioning correctly. Deliver me from the voices that cloud my vision and tell me lies about my life. Hold me when the pain is at its worst. Comfort me when it feels like I can't keep going. And fill me with Hope from Your Spirit so I can rise from this season of depression. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
