Spiritual Warfare: 'Humility & Fasting Get God’s Attention'

God's Power for Our Battles — Sunday, January 4, 2026

And there by the Ahava Canal, I gave orders for all of us to fast and humble ourselves before our God. We prayed that he would give us a safe journey and protect us, our children, and our goods as we traveled.

Today's Prayer

Lord, help me to always humble myself before You. Don’t let me arrogantly rely on my wisdom or knowledge. Your ways are above my ways, and I’m not smart enough to do life without Your input. Forgive me in the past for all the times I tried to “wing it” without You. From this day forward, I acknowledge my dependence on Your wisdom and insight. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
