What Jesus Did! 'Praise God!' — Luke 13:10-13

Wednesday, August 26, 2015

Jesus taught in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day. In that synagogue there was a woman that had a spirit {from the devil} inside her. This spirit had made the woman crippled for 18 years. Her back was always bent; she could not stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called to her, "Woman, your sickness has gone away from you!" Jesus put his hands on her. Then she was able to stand up straight. She praised God.

Key Thought

We must remember that coming together to worship God also involves ministering to each other! God is praised when the touch of Jesus is felt and the brokenness of God's children is addressed with love. Worship isn't about a religious audience watching a few spiritual performers do their act, but about Jesus' Body ministering to brokenness, committing to holiness, and praising God for his grace.

Today's Prayer

Father, give me eyes to see those I need to touch and bless with your grace when I go to be with your people to worship you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
