What Jesus Did! 'Praise God!' — Luke 13:10-13

Monday, August 26, 2019

One Sabbath day as Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, he saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, "Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!" Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God!

Key Thought

We must remember that coming together to worship God also involves ministering to each other! God is praised when the touch of Jesus is felt and the brokenness of God's children is addressed with love. Worship isn't about a religious audience watching a few spiritual performers do their act, but about Jesus' body ministering to brokenness, committing to holiness, and praising God for his grace.

Today's Prayer

Father, give me eyes to see those I need to touch and bless with your grace when I go to be with your people to worship you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
