What Jesus Did! 'The Source of Healing and Cure' — Luke 6:18-19

Sunday, March 26, 2023

[The crowds] had come to hear [Jesus] and to be healed of their diseases; and those troubled by evil spirits were healed. Everyone tried to touch him, because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone.
— Luke 6:18-19 NLT

Key Thought

So often in ministry, we get to thinking that we have the power to make people better. Not only is this attitude arrogant, but it is also dangerously wrong. The best we can hope to be is a conduit of Jesus' grace. Jesus is the one who brings healing, not us. So as we seek to bless others, let's remember where we are trying to point them: not to something in us or about us, but to Jesus.

Today's Prayer

Almighty God, use me to help others to find Jesus. Please don't let my ego or my weaknesses interfere with others finding Jesus as their source of healing and cure. In his name, I pray. Amen.
