Together in Christ: 'More than We Can Ask of Think!' — Ephesians 3:20-21

Friday, September 20, 2024

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
— Ephesians 3:20-21 NLT

Key Thought

The God who created everything is also the God Who longs to reveal Himself to us and in us. He wants to share His love with us each day just as He showed us His love through His incarnation in human flesh in Jesus as Immanuel, God with us. God's love lavished on us enables us to love others in ways we never thought possible. The power of the Holy Spirit inside us transforms us to love others more like Jesus.

As we have celebrated these truths over the last week, we have focused more on what that means to us, how it should shape us, and how blessed we are to be loved by the Creator of the universe. Today, our relationship principle focuses on giving thanks to God and glorifying Him for His greatness, graciousness, and nearness, enabling us to be more and do more than our imaginations can grasp. So, let's finish today's devotional thoughts by praying our verse as our prayer of praise to God.*

Today's Prayer

O, great God we know as Father, Son, and Spirit:

All glory to you! Praise You! Thank You! You alone are able to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think through Your mighty power at work within us. All glory and praise to You, in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

* Ephesians 3:20-21 NLT has been adapted into a personal prayer to thank God and praise Him for being so good to us, making His home in us, using His power to work through us, and promising to bring us into His home forever.
