Spiritual Warfare: 'Persecution Coming!'

God's Power for Our Battles — Sunday, July 28, 2024

Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.
— 2 Timothy 3:12-13 NLT

Today's Prayer

Lord, some pastors and teachers tell me that if I become a Christian, then nothing bad will happen to me. Don’t let me be deceived by this false teaching. Remind me that I shouldn’t feel discouraged when I suffer for the sake of the Kingdom—I should feel honored as counted worthy to suffer for the Name of Jesus. And remind me that I shouldn’t be surprised to suffer and that it will surely be worth it in the end. Help me to remember the truths of Your Holy Word when I am confronted with sweet-sounding lies. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
