Spiritual Warfare: 'God Comforts Us so We Can Comfort Others'

God's Power for Our Battles — Sunday, April 5, 2026

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

Today's Prayer

Lord, thank You for providing the comfort I needed at just the right moment. I have experienced this so many times in the past in various ways: in calls from friends when I lost a loved one, in words of encouragement when my work became a burden, in hugs and prayers from friends during times of difficulty. Thank You for always seeing to my emotional needs. Lord, remind me of these things when someone around me is hurting and I'm oblivious to their pain. And help me to act on that reminder. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
