Spiritual Warfare: 'Ambition Can Become a Wicked Trap'

God's Power for Our Battles — Friday, March 10, 2023

The godly are directed by honesty; the wicked fall beneath their load of sin. The godliness of good people rescues them; the ambition of treacherous people traps them.
— Proverbs 11:5-6 NLT

Today's Prayer

Lord, I confess that I’ve focused much of my adult life on my ambition to a higher level, a higher income, and a higher status — worldly status. I confess that I’ve let the desires of this world outweigh my desire to follow Your will for my life and Your plan to use me in Your kingdom work. Please forgive me. Help me now as I work to refocus my goals and objective and ask for Your input and Your will along each and every step of the journey. Lead me to the fulfillment that comes from being in tune with You, my Creator. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
