The Lord is God. We must not take for granted his holiness and might. But the incredible reality of God's grace is this: God, who thundered at Mount Sinai and spoke into existence the universe with all of its marvelous expanse and intricate detail, also loves us and longs for us to draw near and find refuge in him. We can rejoice in reverent awe. We can praise with holy reverence. We can rest secure because our trust is not in what is human, temporary, and corruptible. We can rejoice because the Lord is our God!
My Prayer...
Forgive us, Father, for the times that we have cheapened your grace with inappropriate speech, irreverent thoughts, and irresponsible behaviors. You alone are God. You alone are worthy of our highest adoration and praise. Thank you for being holy and mighty, near and inviting. Thank you for providing us a place of refuge and security. Thank you, dear Father, for being God! In Jesus' name. Amen.
"Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer for ten days....."
"Dear Father, bestower of freedom, Thank you for the love and the faith which you have put in your people. Please help them share this with each other..."
