Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Joy knows no better explanation than laughter and song. We sing to the Lord because we are joyful! Our music is not inhibited or held back, but exuberant and as full of sound as it is of heart. Our bodies respond to the emotion of our hearts, as the Holy Spirit fills and inspires us as we worship (Ephesians 5:18-21). Thanksgiving brings us into the Father's presence as we celebrate joyfully as God's beloved children.

My Prayer...

O most wonderful and glorious God, thank you so much for saving me from sin, death, hell, and futility. Thank you for saving me for your purposes and as a work of your "handiwork", with special things you have created me to do.* Thank you for saving me and assuring me through the presence of your Holy Spirit within me. I come before you with exuberant and overflowing joy. Your love and grace have not only given me hope but have made me your child and given me your purpose for my life. Please hear my heart and be blessed by my songs of praise as I worship you. In the name of Jesus, I pray and loudly sing your praises, both now and forevermore. Amen.
