Mark 5:11-15

"[After Jesus cast the evil spirits out of the man and into the pigs, the] herdsmen fled to the nearby town and the surrounding countryside, spreading...."

"Then the evil spirits begged [Jesus] again and again not to send them to some distant place. There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on..."

"So Jesus gave [the evil spirits] permission. The evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd of about 2,000 pigs..."

Don't let Satan rob you of your identity in the Lord. We are God's children; let's not let anything steal away our identity!

Why in the world would anyone choose sausage over a life being changed? The healing of the madman and the reaction of the crowd remind us once again that people are often prejudiced against anything that costs them something even if it benefits other people.

Can you look beyond your New Year's resolutions? Real change, true transformation, will not occur in our lives until we relinquish control completely to the Lord and the power of his Spirit.

Jesus came to bring us freedom from bondage to Satan and his power. Phil Ware reminds us the battle we are in with Satan with our lives and how Jesus can end our bondage to him.
