Opening with Praise in Word and Song:

Our theme for ToGather today is that our God is "More than Unstoppable!" so we begin with the song, "Unstoppable God," led by Elevation Worship:

Focusing on the Scriptures:

Our message for ToGather centers on God who does the impossible in us, for us, and through us. His power at work within us is the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 3:14-21). We received the Spirit when we first came to Christ and were cleansed and given a new birth into God's family (John 3:3-5; Titus 3:3-7). We take our message for ToGather from our Verse of the Day:

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21).

Phil's message reminds us that God's power is available to us and that we can trust it because it is the same power that turned the horrors of the crucifixion into the joyous victory of the empty tomb and it is also at work in us (Romans 8:11):

The only fitting response to our God who can do MORE than anything we can "ask or imagine" is to praise Him. Let's join Chris Tomlin in singing "You Are Amazing God":

Sharing The Supper:

As we prepare our hearts to share the Lord's Supper, we join Hillsong Young & Free in singing "Sinking Deep":

Phil and his friend Brad share our Communion reflection. Phil reminds us that Communion isn't a time just to remember the cost Jesus paid at the cross, but we also celebrate the victory HE won for us. The early church cemented that victory into their practice of faith by taking of the Lord's Supper on the first day of the week, Sunday (Acts 20:7):

God can do more than we can ever ask or imagine by the power alive in us because of Jesus' victory over sin, death, and hell. We will celebrate this truth as we sing, "Now to Him" with the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ singers:

The early church anchored their remembrance of Jesus' victory in the Lord's Supper they took on Sunday to celebrate HIS victory!
Closing with Praise:

Dear Father, transcendent in knowledge and wisdom:

Grant that I may know the love of Christ, a love which surpasses knowledge, and that I may be filled with the fullness which is yours.

Now my God, to you who by the power at work within your people are able to do far more abundantly than all I can ask or even imagine — to you be glory in the congregation of your holy people and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.
