Everyone sins. But when your people sin against you, suppose you get angry enough to let their enemies drag them away to foreign countries. Later, they may feel sorry for what they did and ask your forgiveness. Answer them when they pray toward this temple I have built for you in your chosen city, here in this land you gave their ancestors. From your home in heaven, listen to their sincere prayers and do what they ask.
— 1 Kings 8:46-49 CEV

Today's Prayer

Lord, I know Solomon prayed this for the Israelites, but I also know that You STILL answer prayer and forgive Your people when they sin and then repent today in our modern world. Thank You for Your patience and kindness in receiving us back when we separate ourselves from You by choosing to sin. Forgive me. Accept me back into the family with open arms. Help me to live better from now on. Thank You for that forgiveness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
