Good for You!

Did you know that marriage prolongs life? Yep, the hazards of dying fall significantly the longer you're married. Apparently the longer you're married, the more benefits you get from marriage. And this is not only in our society, but in others as well.

And the benefits are large for both men and women. Women, for example, are protected in the sense that marriage gives her a financial resource that she needs. It's a little different for married men. They seem to live longer because marriage is a more settled life that protects them from risky behaviors like smoking or drinking. Isn't that interesting?

In God's Word we read, "It is not good for the man to be alone ..." (Genesis 2:18). And now, research validates that age-old axiom — marriage is good for us!
