My Mistakes

A federal employee was given a performance evaluation, and this is what her evaluator said, "When she opens her mouth, it seems that this is only to change whatever foot was previously put in there."

But I feel just like that sometimes! I make a mistake, and the first thing you know I make five more just like it in the same place.

It gives some hope to me when Jesus says we ought to forgive a sin not seven times, but seventy times seven. And it’s comforting to know that you can be forgiven for the same mistake more than once. You may not find an employee or a boss who will do that for you, but Jesus will.

You can't make a big enough mistake that God can't forgive! It's one of the many, many blessings of walking with God.

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. (Psalm 51:1 NLT 1st Ed.)
