Passion for Praise: 'A Shelter for the Oppressed!'
Sunday, September 14, 1947
The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.
"Dear Beloved,
Over the next several days, I will take you on a journey with My apostle, Simon Peter. Before his denial of even knowing Me, I warned....."
"If we would talk less and pray more about them, things would be better than they are in the world: at least, we should be better enabled to bear them."
"Don't let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this..."
"If we would rightly "acquaint ourselves with God, and be at peace," we must know him as he has revealed himself, not only in the unity of his essence...."
