Never the SameNever the Same

Life is made up of a series of events that once they occur, life is never the same. The quality of our lives depends in large part on how we respond to those events. For instance ...

When a couple learns that the result of the home pregnancy test is positive, their lives will never be the same.

When that couple experiences the birth of their first child, their lives will never be the same.

When that child packs his book back and walks through the door to his first day of school, their lives will never be the same.

As the parents hear their child confess his commitment to Christ and witness his baptism, their lives will never be the same.

When he starts to high school, their lives will never be the same.

When he begins to drive, their lives will never be the same.

When he walks across the stage to receive his high school diploma, their lives will never be the same.

When they help him pack his car and watch him drive away to begin his college career, their lives will never be the same.

When he meets the woman of his dreams and asks her to marry him, their lives will never be the same.

When he and the woman of his dreams stand before an audience and profess their undying love for one another and commit their lives to each other “until death separates them,” their lives will never be the same.

When they learn that the result of the home pregnancy test is positive, and their parents are about to be grandparents, their lives will never be the same.

When the doctor uses the word cancer in explaining his reasons for requesting further tests, their lives will never be the same.

Life will never be the same!
Since the first man and the first woman disobeyed the Creator and tasted the forbidden fruit, life has never been the same.

Since Jesus said, "Father, forgive these people, because they don't know what they are doing" (Luke 22:34 NLT 1st Ed.), life has never been the same.

Since Jesus said, "It is finished!" (John 19:30), life has never been the same.

Since the disciples discovered the empty tomb, life has never been the same.

When we recognize that we are all sinners and desperately need a Savior, life will never be the same.

Some events change our lives forever whether we like it or not, whether we request it or not, or whether we want it or not. In some areas we can choose to allow our lives to be changed forever. When we say, "I believe" and when we say, "I surrender all" and when we say, "Lord, take control!" our lives will never be the same.

Jesus promises that when we choose to walk with Him, our lives will never be the same.

You can live a life that is the same forever, or a life that will never be the same. It is your choice.
