Randy Becton99 Lives?, by Randy Becton   Real Audio

She’s a well known observer of our culture. She describes a growing trend that is gobbling up our time and calls it “99 Lives.” Faith Popcorn is a respected trend forecaster. From her study, she says that we’ve been living 99 lives. In essence, we’re far too busy, we’re rushing to work, carpooling ourselves into busy-ness, and our moms are working more than one job. Even our weekends are a frenzy of activity, too! The number one thing we value is our time.

We’re far too busy!
Did you know that 75% of our doctors visits are stress related? Did you know that we’re averaging every year 30 billion visits to fast food restaurants. What is this 99 lives syndrome with so much to do and so little time?

Remember the words of Jesus, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest!” Where is this rest? Have you really come to Jesus Christ, looked at his life and decided his life can give your life fresh hope and real rest? Jesus offers the one thing we most need in our busy world, the opportunity to come to know him and find rest.
