Day 72:
Green Light for Allisons

April 11, 1998   8 P.M.

Dear Family,

The Lord blessed us with a safe 1,500 km drive from Udorn to Songkla.  We are at the Pavilion Songkla Thani Hotel till Monday.  Will preach for the Songkla Church of Christ tomorrow and thank them for their continuous concern and prayers for the Laos 10. Monday  we will join the '98 Thailand Bible Camp at  a local school campus.

Friday the American Embassy reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had reacted favorably to  the McDonough/Allison trip.  The Lao officials will follow through with visas and setting up meetings with the Ministry of Public Health.  Tommy & Mary Alice arrive  in Songkla Thursday. We will drive with them to Bangkok Friday and use our travel time to share information about the Laotian situation.  Monday Bill & Marie Clair McDonough will join us in Bangkok and we will finalize the plans for their Tuesday and Wednesday meetings in Vientiane.

We have had no new news from Vientiane.  The 15 day appeal period has passed.  Thomas & Kindy Kweekul are also traveling inThailand and may bring back additional information next week.  Please continue to petition the Lord for the ten still in prison, their appeal process that could result in their freedom, the McDonough/Allison trip that could keep the door to Laos open, and our desired end result of the freedom to worship for the Phon Kheng Church of Christ.

God bless,

Ken & Jean Fox
Songkla, Thailand
