    Jim Key tells of a very wealthy man, who with his devoted young son, shared a passion for art collecting. One day, war engulfed the nation. The young man left to serve his country. After a few weeks, the father received a shocking telegram. His beloved son had died.

    Some time later, this distraught father received a precious gift, a painting of his son. He hung it over the fireplace and it became his most valued piece of art.

“According to the will of the father...”

    After his death, all of his treasured paintings were to be auctioned off. Art dealers from all around the world gathered. They wanted to purchase all those priceless paintings. But the will stated that the son’s painting must be sold first!

    Well, only one person was interested. After the sale of the son’s painting, the auctioneer announced that the auction was over. The dealers were in shock. “What about all the other paintings?” they wanted to know.

    The auctioneer told the stunned crowd, “According to the will of the father, whoever takes the son gets it all!”

    Just like those art collectors discovered, whoever takes Jesus Christ gets all of the wealth, all of the extraordinary riches that God has for us. For those of us who know the Son, that’s good news!
