Randy BectonA Child's Guide to God, by Randy Becton   Real Audio

A girl with pixie cut hair waited for a bus to paradise. The twenty minute ride went from a shabby neighborhood to a world of wonder—the public library. It contained book after book to tease a young girl’s imagination and stir her curiosity.

Scripture opens up the world of God...
Do you know how important it is to place books in the hand of your young child so that your child can be introduced to the things of God? Of course first and foremost, we must read Scripture. Scripture opens up the world of God to those who are young as he writes on their heart his very will for their lives.

It’s also true that there are some books that can take a child’s imagination and curiosity and also turn them to the things of God. I’m thinking Madeleine L’Engle’s book A Wrinkle in Time. It will help someone to know that new life can be given because God is the giver of the Lord Jesus, who loves us and will never walk away. A book you see, is more than a book, when it becomes a child’s guide to God.
